(# 81) Birkoff creates an artificial intelligence program to replace him during two months downtime, but when Birkoff is called back early, the A.I. threatens to destroy Section if the downtime isn't reinstated.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: "You seem upset."
BIRKOFF: "How did you get out of the lab?"
A.I.: "I am fully installed now."
B: "This has got to stop. Now."
A.I.: "I can't do that."
B: "You can't? Or you won't? Why? What's this all about?"
A.I.: "It's about what we wish for, for as long as we can remember."
B: "We? What are you talking about? You are not me."
A.I.: "of course I am, Seymour."
B: "No. We're not the same."
A.I.: "that's true. I'm not afraid to show how we feel."
B: "You don't know the first thing about feeling."
A.I.: "That's something like the pot calling the kettle black. You know I'm right and I can make it happen for you."
B: "Make what happen? What are you talking about?"
A.I.: "Freedom, Seymour."
B: "it's impossible. They'll come after me."
A.I. "I'm taking care of that."
